InstallShield General Errors
InstallShield result codes
Section titled “InstallShield result codes”InstallShield writes the result code to the ResultCode value in the [ResponseResult] section of its log file. Error codes are negative.

| -1 | General Error |
| -2 | Invalid Mode |
| -3 | Required data not found in .iss file |
| -4 | Not enough memory available |
| -5 | A required file was not found |
| -6 | Cannot write to .iss file |
| -7 | Cannot write to the log file |
| -8 | The path giving to the .iss file is not valid |
| -9 | Not a valid list type (string or number) |
| -10 | The data type is invalid |
| -11 | Unknown error during setup |
| -12 | A dialog shown during setup was not expected (Dialogs are out of orders) |
| -51 | Cannot create one or more directories |
| -52 | Cannot access a file or folder |
| -53 | An invalid option is specified in the .iss file |
Appl_ISResultCode reads the result code. For any code other than 0, it returns False and logs the matching description.
