Post Configure setting
From the Post/Configure section it is possible to control reboot options and define post check to decide whether an installation has completed successfully or not.
| Post/Configure section | Description |
| Request reboot | Define reboot behavior. Select one of the following: Force: Force a reboot after a successful installation No: Do not reboot after installation is completed. This is the default. Detect: Detect if any reboot operations are needed. If an end-user is logged on to the computer/server he/she will be informed and have the opportunity to postpone the reboot. If the end user accepts the reboot all open programs will be asked to end normally forcing the end user to save data if needed. |
| Check for File | Use this feature to check for file existence when the installation has completed. Enter the full path of a file that the installation creates. If the file doesn’t exist after the installation, the job fails. Use $programfiles$ instead of the Program Files path so the check works even if the Program Files path differs between clients, for example $programfiles$\Vendor\App\app.exe. Leave it empty to skip the check. |
