Toolbar and Menu Description for Reporting

This page describes the toolbar and the menus that the Reporting and Queries plugin adds to the console. The general menu items are described in General menu description.

Button	Description
Back, Forward	Move back and forward between the tree view nodes you have visited.
Hardware, Software, User, Logon, Updates, Packages	Open the tree view for that area. For more information, go to Reporting Tree view.
Preview	Show the result of the current report in the content view. For more information, go to Preview a report.

Menus

Menu item	Description	Keyboard shortcut
New	Create a new report. If the current report has unsaved changes, you’re asked whether to save it first.	Ctrl+N
Open…	Open an existing report or dynamic group query.	Ctrl+O
Save…	Save changes to the open report.	Ctrl+S
Save as…	Save the report as a new report.	Ctrl+Shift+S
Delete…	Delete reports and dynamic groups.	Ctrl+D
Deploy to reporting services…	Deploy a report to Reporting Services.
Deploy predefined reports to reporting services…	Show the predefined reports in a tree view, and select the reports to deploy to Reporting Services.
Create linked reports to Business units	Create linked reports for each Business Unit on the Reporting Services server.
Manage reporting services…	Create and delete folders and reports in Reporting Services.
Recent reports	List the reports you have used recently. Select Clear recent reports to clear the list.

Hardware	Open the Hardware tree view.	Ctrl+H
Software	Open the Software tree view.	Ctrl+W
User	Open the User tree view.	Ctrl+U
Logon	Open the Logon tree view.	Ctrl+L
Updates	Open the Updates tree view.	Ctrl+T
Packages	Open the Packages tree view.	Ctrl+K
Preview	Show the result of the current report.	Ctrl+P

Menu item	Description
Column setup…	Choose the columns shown in the views.
Define criteria…	Open the Define Report Criteria form for the current report.
Software Vendor Report…	Create a software vendor report. Available when the Software tree view is open.
Report column order…	Change the order of the report columns, or delete columns.

Menu item	Description
Check license	Available when Application groups is selected in the Software tree view. Shows the license compliance for the application groups.
Check updates	Available when All updates is selected in the Updates tree view. Counts the number of clients requesting each update.
