Security groups

The ability to manage specific user and computer units can be divided between several Security Groups. Each group contains a selection of computers and units and is associated with one or more CapaInstaller Security Profile. Only those users that are part of the associated Security Profile(s) will be able to manage the units of that group.

The units can be a member of the Security Group either directly or indirectly through linked groups or linked management servers.

Actions on the All security groups folder

Right-click the All security groups folder to find these actions:

New (Create a security group)	From here you can create a new security group.

Right-click a security group to find these actions:

Element	Description
Link to Servers (Link Management Servers)	Opens a form where Management Servers can be linked to the security group.
Link to Profiles (Link Profiles)	Opens a form where Profiles can be linked to the security group.
Link to Units (Link Units)	Opens a form where Units can be linked to the security group.
Link to Groups (Link Groups to Security Group)	Opens a form where Groups can be linked to the security group.
Link to Business Units (Link Business Units to Security Group)	Opens a form where Business Units can be linked to the security group.
Delete (Delete security groups)	Deletes the Security group.
Properties	Opens the properties form where the name can be changed.
