Profiles supported in Android

Agent Configuration Payload

This payload configures the CapaInstaller Android agent, for example the passcode that is needed to unenroll the device, and whether the user can remove configuration and application profiles.

APN Payload

This payload can be used to allow a device to connect through a specified Access Point Name

Blacklist Apps Payload

Section titled “Blacklist Apps Payload”

This payload can be used to lock apps so they cannot be accessed by the device users.

Enforce Passcode Payload

This payload makes the CapaInstaller Android agent enforce a specific passcode on the device.

File Transfer Payload

This payload can be used to transfer files to an Android device.

Lock Single App Payload

Section titled “Lock Single App Payload”

This payload can be used to lock a device to run a single app only. This feature is not natively supported by the Android operating system, so before real use, it is recommended that this is tested on the used devices.

Restriction Payload

This payload can be used to restrict Android device capabilities.

Ringtone Payload

This payload copies a ringtone file to an Android device and can set it as ringtone, notification sound, or alarm.

System Update Policy Payload

Section titled “System Update Policy Payload”

This payload controls when Device Owner devices install Android system updates: automatically, in a daily maintenance window, or postponed. It can also block updates in an annual freeze period.

Wallpaper Payload

Section titled “Wallpaper Payload”

This payload sets a PNG image as wallpaper on an Android device.

Whitelist App Payload

Section titled “Whitelist App Payload”

This payload can be used to limit a device to run a list of whitelisted apps only. Test the payload on the device models you use before you deploy it widely.
