Deploy Data Connection Service

This page describes how to deploy a Data Connection Service.

Before you start

A Management Point must exist before you can deploy the Data Connection Service.

1. In System Administration, expand Services, right-click Data Connection Service, and select Deploy Data connection service….

2. Enter the name of the server.

   

3. Enter the public URL and the internal port. The default port is 5026. To use HTTPS, select Use Certificate and select the certificate.

   

4. Select how the service connects to the database. Windows authentication is recommended, but you can also use SQL server authentication.

   

5. Select how the service files and the framework files are copied to the target server, and select the source server.

   

6. Enter a changelog description.

   

   The Data Connection Service is installed.

   

7. When the installation is completed, close the wizard.

   

The service appears under Services > Data Connection Service in System Administration.
