CapaInstaller Console Network Communication
The CapaInstaller Console uses a set of network protocols to deploy services directly and trigger administrative tasks. Make sure that the network and firewalls between the operator computer and the CapaInstaller servers and clients allow this communication.
Protocols
Section titled “Protocols”- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
- Server Message Block (SMB)
Other connections
Section titled “Other connections”- SQL Server: the console connects directly to the CapaInstaller database. For more information, go to Database connection.
- Agent service ports: when agents are restarted directly from the console, the console contacts the agent service on the agent service communication ports.
- Patch Management service ports: the Patch Management service communicates with the console on the Patch Management service communication ports.
You set the agent service and Patch Management service ports in the System Administration options.
