Update Now on Package

Runs Update now on a package. This is the same action as right-clicking the package in the CapaInstaller Console and selecting Update now.

The package is synchronized from the management point to the management servers it’s linked to. When the synchronization is complete, the package is also synchronized on to any child servers and replica servers that should have it.

If the package isn’t linked to any management server other than the one that shares the management point’s share, nothing is synchronized. The function still returns true.

Parameters

PackageName (String)

The name of the package

PackageVersion (String)

The version of the package, i.e.: “v1.0”

PackageType (String)

Type of package

  • “Computer”
  • “User”

Return value

Section titled “Return value”

Boolean. The function returns true if successful, otherwise false.
