Delete a unit
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”You can delete a unit from Asset Management or Configuration Management, click File/Delete unit…. Deleting a unit is the end of the lifecycle for it and will therefore have an effect on the item related to the unit. This form helps you find your unit and delete it. You can also delete a single unit by right-clicking it in the Unit view and clicking Delete.
| Element | Description |
| Select unit type | Select the type of units to delete. |
| Search unit name | Enter a Unit name to delete. Can also contain wildcard *, e.g. “WS0*”. |
| Display duplicate units on serial number | Only list units that have the same serial number as another unit. Available for computers only. |
| Change description | Enter a reason for the deletion. |
| Delete | Click on Delete to delete the selected Units from the system. |

| 1 | Click on the File/Delete unit…. |
| 2 | Select the unit type you want to delete. |
| 3 | Enter a unit name or a search pattern, and click Search. |
| 4 | Select the units to delete in the list. |
| 5 | Enter a change description. |
