On the Interval tab:
- In Begin and End, enter the start time and the end time of the period in which the package is allowed to run.
- Optionally, enter a Duration instead of an end time. The other values adjust automatically.

On the Recurrence tab, select one of these options:
- Once: the package runs once. This is typical for installing a software package.
- Periodical: the package runs Daily, Weekly or Monthly. For Daily, enter the number of days between runs in Recur every. Hourly isn’t available for packages.
- Always: the package runs every time the agent runs. This is typically used to keep critical inventory information updated.
Optionally, select End after and enter the number of occurrences after which the package stops running.
