Self Service Portal Won't Load (fast-aes.dll)

When you sign in to the Self Service Portal, you get an error saying that fast-aes.dll couldn’t be loaded.

On a device, the Self Service Portal web clip shows that the page couldn’t be loaded.

The IIS application pool account that runs the Self Service Portal is missing permissions on some files.

On the Self Service Portal server, check that the IIS application pool account has these permissions:

File Permission
C:\Windows\Temp\fast-aes-64\fast-aes.dll Read & execute
C:\Windows\Temp\fast-aes-64-w3wp\fast-aes.dll Read & execute
C:\Windows\Temp\fast-aes-32-w3wp\fast-aes.dll Read & execute
C:\Program Files (x86)\CapaInstaller\Services\CapaInstaller Self Service Portal\App_Data\SelfServicePortal.log Read & execute, and Write

Only the folders that exist on your server are relevant. The -64- and -32- folders are used by 64-bit and 32-bit application pools.

After you correct the permissions, restart the website in IIS Manager and open the Self Service Portal again.
