Troubleshooting Reporting and Queries

Use the following to troubleshoot Reporting and Queries.

Element	Description
Log file	The Reporting and Queries plugin writes errors to the console log. To open the log, select View → View Log → Current Log…, or press F2. For the log location, go to Console log file.
The Packages tree view shows Define Package CMP in Options	No Management Point is selected for packages. Select one in Reporting and Queries options.
You can’t save, delete, or deploy reports	Your security profile needs Full control for Report and Query Manager. For more information, go to Profile rights.
You can’t connect to Reporting Services	Check that Reporting Services is enabled and that the server and virtual directory are correct in Reporting and Queries options. Reporting Services must be installed on the same server as the CapaInstaller SQL database server.
Drill-down links in a deployed report don’t work	The drill-down reports must exist on the Reporting Services server. Deploy the report again with Enable drill down and Export drill down reports selected. For more information, go to Enable reporting services drill down.
Linked reports aren’t created for a report	The report doesn’t have the Business Unit parameter. Deploy it again with Export drilldown for Business unit selected. For more information, go to Create report for linked reports with Business Unit.
