AD groups
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”Active Directory is a Microsoft technology for organizing users and computers. Active Directory Groups are based on the contents of an LDAP item from the Active Directory. LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is used to access information regarding the Active Directory. Active Directory Groups are dynamic, so membership will always depend on current LDAP information. Membership is maintained by the Replicator, so updates will appear only as often as the batch-mode Replicator runs the _Active Directory groups_ job.
Properties
| Element | Description |
| Name | Name of the group. |
| Description | Description of the group. |
| AD Group | The Active Directory group this group is a member of. |
| Perform recursively ADSI query | Includes all subgroups in the Active Directory Group. |
| Change description | A custom comment that will be added to the changelog. |
Right-clicking on an AD Group gives you the following options:

| Delete a group | Opens the delete group form. |
| Scheduling | Opens the schedule form for the group. Will Schedule a Wake On Lan for the units in the Group. |
| Properties | Shows the properties for the group. |
