Synchronization Job Reports 'Syncjob Not Run'
Problem
Section titled “Problem”In the console, System Notification shows a Syncjob not run event of type SyncService. The description is one of these:
Syncjob has not started. (Created '<hours>' hours ago). Source '<source path>' , target: '<target path>'Syncjob has not finished. (has run for '<hours>' hours). Status: '<status>'. Statustext: '<status text>'. Source '<source path>' , target: '<target path>'This has been seen after updating the console to 6.6.xx.101.
CapaInstaller creates the notification when a one-time synchronization job hasn’t started within 24 hours of being created, or has run for more than 24 hours without finishing. The Server field of the notification shows the server that runs the synchronization service for the job.
Solution
Section titled “Solution”- Restart the CapaInstaller Synchronization Service on the server in the notification’s Server field. Either:
- In the CapaInstaller Console, go to System Administration → Services → Synchronization Services, right-click the service, and select Restart.
- On the server, open Services (
services.msc) and restart the service.
- Wait for the synchronization job to run, and check System Notification again.
The synchronization service processes the job. If the job still doesn’t run, check the synchronization logs in %ProgramFiles%\CapaInstaller\Logs\Synchronizations on that server. See CapaInstaller log files.
