Can not Install AutoSteps

Symptom: AutoSteps can’t be installed, and setup shows an error message.

Possible causes and solutions

• The PerformanceGuard agent isn’t installed, or it’s too old Setup says that AutoSteps requires PerformanceGuard Agent 7.3 or higher. AutoSteps uses the installed agent to report measurements, so install the PerformanceGuard agent, version 7.3 or later, before you install AutoSteps. See Install PerformanceGuard Agents.
• .NET Framework is missing Setup says that AutoSteps requires .NET Framework 4.6.2 or higher. Install .NET Framework 4.6.2 or later, and then run AutoSteps setup again.

Note

AutoSteps runs in the context of the signed-in user, not as a Windows service.
