Guest Access

You can give guests access to a single dashboard through a link. Guests don’t need a PerformanceGuard user account. A guest can only view the dashboard in the link and can’t open any other pages in PerformanceGuard.

You can enable guest access for any dashboard that can be edited, that is, not for built-in dashboards.

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Click the menu button in the dashboard toolbar, select Sharing, and then select Guest access.
  3. In the Guest dashboard dialog, select Enable guest access. The guest link appears under URL.
  4. Click Copy URL, and send the link to the guests.

To disable guest access, clear Enable guest access in the same dialog.

Each time you enable guest access, PerformanceGuard generates a new unique URL. Links that were generated earlier no longer work.

If a guest opens a link that has been disabled or replaced, the guest sees the message “Guest access has been disabled or the access token has expired.”

Go to Administration → Dashboard → Guest access. The page lists all dashboards with guest access, with their title and who created them. For each dashboard, you can:

  • Copy URL: copy the current guest link.
  • Generate new URL: replace the guest link with a new one. The old link stops working.
  • Disable: turn off guest access for the dashboard. The link stops working.
