PerformanceGuard API
If you are a day-to-day user of PerformanceGuard, this information isn’t relevant for you. It’s intended for technical consultants, software developers and others who need to access and manage PerformanceGuard data outside of the regular PerformanceGuard user interface.
The PerformanceGuard API is an application programming interface for access to collected performance data and administration of PerformanceGuard entities. It’s a REST API that you access over HTTP or HTTPS, at the /api path of the PerformanceGuard web interface.
With the API you can, for example:
- Look up computers and read their computer information, processes, network traffic, and events.
- Read application performance, status, and event data for locations and computers.
- Manage dashboards, AutoSteps scripts, jobs, and schedules.
Requests use the same user accounts and roles as the web interface. A user only gets the data their role allows. See Manage Users.
To try out the API and view all endpoints and parameters, sign in to the PerformanceGuard web interface and type /swagger after the server name in the address bar.
To authenticate from your own scripts and set the time interval for data requests, see Call the PerformanceGuard API.
