Dashboard Thumbnails
On the Home, Dashboards and Slideshows pages, each dashboard has a thumbnail that shows a preview of what the dashboard looks like.
PerformanceGuard generates the thumbnail when you create a dashboard and every time you save it. A default thumbnail is shown while the thumbnail is being generated.
Use a custom thumbnail
Section titled “Use a custom thumbnail”You can use the current view of a dashboard, with your current selections, as its thumbnail. You need to be able to edit the dashboard.
- Open the dashboard and make the selections that you want the thumbnail to show.
- Click the menu button in the dashboard toolbar, and then select Thumbnail.
- Click Update thumbnail.
The dashboard now has a custom thumbnail. PerformanceGuard no longer updates the thumbnail when you save the dashboard.
To go back to automatically generated thumbnails, open the same menu, select Thumbnail, and then click Reset. Reset is only shown when the dashboard has a custom thumbnail. PerformanceGuard then generates a new thumbnail the next time the dashboard is saved.
