Dashboard Relations
Dashboard relations let you jump from a computer, application, location, event rule or process name in a widget to another dashboard that shows more details about it. The related dashboard opens with the same parameters as the dashboard you came from.
Open a related dashboard
Section titled “Open a related dashboard”Whenever a widget shows an object as a link with the 
icon next to it, you can open the Related dashboards menu:
- Click the link. You can also right-click it.
- In the Related dashboards menu, click the dashboard that you want to open.
The dashboard opens in a new browser tab, with the object (and, where the widget provides it, the time period) already selected.
If no dashboards have been related to that type of object, the menu shows the message “No related dashboards are defined for this entity.”
Guests who view a dashboard through a guest access link can’t use dashboard relations. They see the message “Guests are not allowed to view related dashboards.”
Set up dashboard relations
Section titled “Set up dashboard relations”- Go to Administration → Dashboard → Relational dashboards. As an administrator, you can also click the
icon (Configure dashboard relations) in the Related dashboards menu. - For each object type, select the dashboards that the object type should link to:
- Application: links from configured Network Applications.
- Computer: links from computers registered in the system, for example on the Computer Info page.
- Event rule: links from event rules defined in Manage Thresholds and Events.
- Location: links from all Locations defined.
- Process name: links from processes measured on a computer, for example in the Computer Process Table.
The selected dashboards appear in the Related dashboards menu for all users.
