Delete Registry Variable

Deletes a specified registry variable from the local machine. This can be useful for cleaning up registry entries that are no longer needed or for removing sensitive information.

Parameters

Registry Root

Required — Default: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Select the root registry hive containing the variable to delete Allowed values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, HKEY_USERS.

Registry Key

Required — Default: SOFTWARE\Sample

Full path of the registry key, starting after the root hive (e.g., SOFTWARE\Sample)

Registry Value Name

Required

The name of the registry value to delete
