Android Endpoints

All enrolled Android devices are listed under Android → Endpoints. This page describes the list and the tabs on each device’s page. To send commands such as lock or wipe, see Android Device Commands.

Column What it shows
Name The device name, with the model below it. A red icon means that the device’s policy has an error. Select it to open the Resulting Policy Error Log.
User The user assigned to the device.
Last Check-In When the device last contacted CapaOne.
Battery The battery level.
Serial Number and IMEI Hardware identifiers.
Ownership Company, Personal, or Unspecified.
Management Mode How the device is managed: Fully Managed or Work Profile. A device in lost mode shows Lost Mode, and a device in kiosk mode shows Kiosk Mode. Use the Ownership column to tell company-owned and personally owned work profiles apart. See Endpoint Management Modes.

If no devices are enrolled yet, click Enrollment to set up an enrollment configuration. See Android Enrollment.

Use the filter bar to search by name, or add filters on these fields:

Field Example values
Name The device name
User Name The name of the associated user
User Email The email address of the associated user
System Update Status Up to date, Update available
Critical System Update Yes, No
Last Check-in When the device last checked in
Battery The device’s battery level

IMEI The device’s IMEI number
Ownership Company, Personal, Unspecified

System Update Status and Critical System Update are also available as quick filters. The filter is kept in the page URL.

For example:

  • Set System Update Status to Update available to list the devices that are behind on Android updates.
  • Set Critical System Update to Yes to list the devices that are missing a critical update.
  • Set Ownership to Personal to list personally owned devices.

Open a device’s row menu to go to its Software, Hardware, Configurations, Applications, or Groups page, or to run an action:

  • Add to group — add the device to a group.
  • Rename — change the device name in CapaOne.
  • Manage user — assign a user to the device, or remove the current user.
  • Delete — see Delete a device.

To send a command to several devices, select them and open the actions menu. See Android Device Commands.

Click a device’s name to open its page. The header shows the device name, model, and management mode, and a Lost Mode or Kiosk Mode badge when it applies. Click Assign user to link a user to the device, or the edit icon to change the user.

Android device page with the device name and management mode, the assigned user card, the tab bar, and a summary of the operating system, last check-in, RAM, battery level, and enrollment time

Tab What it shows
Dashboard Battery level, last check-in, phone number, RAM, enrollment time, serial number, and IMEI.
Inventory Software: the installed apps with version and application type. Hardware: device details under General, System, and Cellular, such as model, security patch level, update status, and last policy sync. See Find SIM Card Information on Android.
Configurations Assigned: the configurations assigned to the device directly or through groups. Applied: the settings that apply after all configurations are combined. See Android Configurations.
Applications The apps assigned to the device and whether each is applied, pending, or failed.
Groups The groups the device is a member of.

On the Configurations, Applications, and Groups tabs you can assign and remove items directly for this device.

The actions menu in the header has Request (the device commands), Rename, View policy log, and Delete. View policy log shows how CapaOne built the device’s policy from its configurations and applications, which helps when a setting doesn’t apply as expected.

  • Tags are Windows-only — you can’t tag Android devices. To organize them, add them to Groups, or use the list filters to find devices by user, update status, or ownership.
