Apple Enrollment Configurations

Note

Supervised configuration (fully managed devices):
This is for company-owned Apple devices. They are automatically configured with apps and settings. It is also set as the default DEP profile, meaning any device assigned in ABM will automatically receive this profile and be ready to use right out of the box.

Unsupervised configuration (personal devices):
This is for privately owned devices that are already set up. These devices can be managed by downloading and installing the Apple unsupervised enrollment profile. Once enrolled, apps and configurations are automatically installed on the device.

Unsupervised Configuration (BYOD)

Note

1. In CapaOne, go to Apple → Enrollment → New.
2. Give it a name and add a description.
3. Add groups, configurations and applications that should be included in the enrollment.
4. Save configuration.

Supervised Configuration (Corporate)

Note

1. In CapaOne, go to Apple → Enrollment → New.
2. Give it a name and add a description.
3. Add groups, configurations and applications that should be included in the Supervised enrollment.
4. Add an authentication method under DEP Enrollment Profile, if Azure AD integration is not set up, you must choose No user authentication.
5. A very good setting to enable is “Skip items” and select all. It makes the user experience much better during first launch.
6. Click on the 3 dots to the right and set as default DEP.
